Don’t cause more problems
for yourself by purchasing cheap tires. It is true that in many cases
the driver causes some of the problems, not just the tires themselves.
When you combine a good brand, like
Michelin motorcycle tires and a good driver, you will have great tire results.
There are various reasons that can contribute to faulty tires:
1. Leaks – Low air pressure in tires can
lead to big problems. No matter if you have Michelin motorcycle tires
or a cheaper brand; you need to be careful to keep an eye on your tire
pressure. Leaks can be a problem too and are usually caused by defected
valve stems or something that is stuck in your tire, like a nail.
2. Alignment – If you know that you bike
needs to be aligned, you should go get it fixed. When you drive
something that needs alignment, you are basically causing tire wear
that is abnormal. Regardless of what kind of tire you have, tires that
are inappropriately worn will ruin the tires. It is a good idea to have
your bike aligned once a year.
3. Constant care – Every kind of tire,
whether it is cheaper brand or Michelin motorcycle tires, need to be
taken care of. If you want your tires to last and work how they are
supposed to they need some attention.
There are some things that you should constantly
think about when taking care of your tires. For example, you need to
have your tires rotated every 15,000 miles.
It is a good practice to check the air pressure in
your tires once a month or you can do it when you fill up your gas
tank. Fluctuation in weather can have a huge impact on your
tires’ air pressure levels.
It is also a good idea to take a quick walk around
your vehicle regularly to inspect your tires. You should look for
balding and tread wear on a regular basis.
In all honesty, cheap tires often get the hard
wrap for a lot of problems that people have with tires. However, in
most cases, it is the driver who isn’t paying attention to the
tires and what they need to stay in prime condition.
